For those of you interested Only in TRAVEL, I (Jack) wrote the blog between MARCH 2010 and October 2010 during our travels west. We saw the most beautiful places and had the best time in our big truck and little trailer. See Blog Archive below.

Where is Jack, Day 27?

Today was pretty uneventful.  We walked, and Nancy did some work around the trailer--had some problems and the camp host was useless so when Wilson returned, she confirmed what Nancy thought. Anyway, it's all okay. Tomorrow, we're leaving and going boondocking.  Bandolier is going to be great fun. I'm looking forward to relaxing without TV, Internet, etc.--I already have a good book going and several waiting to be read.

We went to get food for me, and then we decided since we were so close to the center of the city, we'd drive around to see some of the things we've seen in the past. We saw the oldest house in America, and just a smattering of things as we drove. Nancy already has pictures of most of it so we didn't take very many. We found the restaurant where Nancy and Rich had had a wonderful dinner one night.  Princess, our resident chef, made a delicious dinner out of leftovers. She has such great talent. We enjoyed sitting around outside for a while, tonight, and then we walked the trail, again. Nancy was out of breath, Wilson was screaming "Leave it" at me all because I was enamored with Teddy, again. I just can't help myself, he's so adorable.  Here are a few pictures from the day.
The oldest house in the US:
Santa Fe is an "artsy" city.  Sculptures are everywhere.  The architecture is incredible--very different than what we see in the east.

I'm going to bed tonight wondering how Susan's party went. I hope it went great.

  1. Jack, stop bothering the smaller pups. You are their inspiration, provide a good example....well, as good as you are able. ;)
Tell Nancy she sent me her phone number instead of Susan's.....you better take her in paw, too!
