For those of you interested Only in TRAVEL, I (Jack) wrote the blog between MARCH 2010 and October 2010 during our travels west. We saw the most beautiful places and had the best time in our big truck and little trailer. See Blog Archive below.

Cannot Leave Comments!

The comment goes away and tells me to report (I don't know to the gods?) this number bX-cy0oum .

Anyone having the same problem? I was leaving a comment to thank Donna and JOJO for stopping by, yesterday-didn't work. Tried to comment on another blog--didn't work. :(

26 comments:

  1. I had an issue about an hour ago as I was trying to make a comment on Rick and Paulette's Rv Travels.
I had written something lengthy (and pithy I thought) and when I went to post it, it disappeared.
Most frustrating. Especially trying to remember what the heck I said. I never do.
    I don't think it's you..
That was the short answer by the way. :)

  2. I've had so much trouble lately I'm ready to scream. I don't know how many comments I've written that don't get posted, but I'm also not getting the message you got. Mine just disappear and like Bob, I don't remember what I just said.

  3. Well, it looks like it was a global issue. I, too, Bob had left a lengthy comment (giggling) and I don't remember what I said, either!

Glad to see you and Sandie got through. Now, here comes the test. Thanks for stopping by, guys.

    Thanks

  5. I got your comment tonight. BTW, I get a copy of all my blog comments in my inbox and I usually just hit "reply" to respond to commenters. However some (yours, too♥) have a "do not respond" instead of an email address so I cannot send you a reply. Wasn't sure if this is how you want it or if it was that way by accident. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know in case you were wondering why I don't reply to your comments.

  6. Donna, I have to check my settings. I'd rather get the blogs in my email. Right now I use blogger reader which can be cumbersome.

I stopped in to tell JOJO that her blog would not let me comment and then it said there was no longer a blog. I hope she reads, here.

  8. I think I will go to bed now I have no time for this but at least I was able to comment here this time. Thanks for letting me know :)

  9. Donna, I went through my settings and I can't find anything other than what is on my site under Blog Archive . I have Follow by Email and the word Sub next to it. I thought that was what that was for. I clicked on it and it asks me to subscribe by putting my email in.

Is there another gadget I am missing?

  10. Donna, I moved the email subscribe up under Jack's picture. If you check back to see it and it's correct, would you let me know. Thanks.

There's also something called "Share" up at the top.

When I started the blog I thought it was only going to be to let my kids know I was alright and as a diary of sorts. Little did I know how many people I'd become "pen pals" with.

  11. Not to worry. And no need to apologize. You were giving us credit where none was due. It is very hard to keep straight the names of people whom you've never met and where they all are and what they are doing. It was an easy mistake to make especially since we have cancer in common with Ron and Sharon. Sherry/Sharon makes it even harder.

I appreciate your comments and don't want you to worry at all.

I didn't post your comment since it was a personal apology but certainly will if you want. I looked on your blog for an email address to write to you personally but couldn't find one or a profile to check. There is no need to publish this unless you want to.

Hope my lag in posting your comment isn't part of this problem for you.

Feel free to email me at RVDreamlife@gmail.com any time you like.

  12. Thank you so much for understanding, Sherry.

The point is, though, that I've had the good fortune to come across you and David and Ron and Sharon. I will leave it up to you as to whether you publish my apology--The FOUR of you, as I can't say often enough, are an inspiration not only to me, but I'm sure to everyone who knows you.

I think it's probablythis similarity that confused me to begin with. Again, thank you.

  13. I have not had a chance to get back to this until now. There is no need to apologize for the mix up in names. Its really hard to keep names, blog names, etc. straight.

Your comments related to us specifically and it just goes to show how much love you have to spread around.

Thank You again for all of your wonderful comments and prayers.

We both appreciate and are inspired by you.

  14. Hi! Just found you after reading your comment on Nina's Wheeling It blog, so I thought I'd help test your comment issue for you. Happy Travels!

PS: Jack is beautiful. Bless you for helping him with hydrotherapy. I hope he continues to do well!

  15. Thanks, Jim!! How nice of you. I'll add you to my blog list! :)) Still can't figure out how to "unbold" the Blog names.

Thank you for your compliments about Jack. He's my buddy, and I'd do anything for him. Thanks for stopping by!

  16. I've just been struck by sudden insight, reading the comments here. I'll not bother to read any more comments, since it seems that so many folks can't remember what they just wrote, anyway;)))) LOL

  17. You know, Russ, I thought the same thing, and laughed to myself. Now that you brought it up, though, we were all distracted by trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Bob, if you come back, you may want to do the same. ;))) LOL

  20. To receive all comments left on your blog. If you are using the New Dashboard: Go to Dashboard > Settings > Mobile and email. Then in the big white box labeled 'Comments notification email' just enter your email address and make sure to click on 'Save Settings' in the top right-hand corner.

After doing this, you will receive emails of all the comments left on your blog.

If you are still using the old Dashboard and can't figure out how to do this, let me know and I'll be happy to send you the instructions.

  21. Thanks for your help, Rick. It seems as soon as I get "comfortable" with any kind of computer program, they change it! Kind of you to leave a comment. I enjoy your blog very much.

  22. I've been wondering about comments too. I usually get several my first day after a post but not today. I think I'll check the settings that Rick suggested also.

  23. Hope it works for you, Levonne. Do follow Rick's instructions. They work.

  24. I would suggest that you ditch blogspot and go for The Travel Journal. Much more user friendly, both for the blog owner and the reader. It is very easy for the reader to leave comments. I do enjoy your blog when Mr Nimble is writing but wish the entries were more frequent. Even when you aren't traveling I'm sure there are interesting things happening on at least a weekly basis. I just love Mr Nimble. He is soooo cute! Hugs, Karen
