Incredible Osprey Video
I was amazed by this piece of video, and I think you will be, too.
The video showed up on our blog. Oh my goodness, that was an exceptionally great video!!!! It is amazing how the Osprey can see, dive and capture its prey. That one fish was so large he could hardly take off. Reminded me of a huge jet traveling down the runway. Nature...love it!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Happytrails. I had someone else call and compare it to a huge jet, as well. What I found fascinating was not only the size of the fish, but that he took multiple fish the first time around. I could believe how he shook himself in flight to get the weight of the water off him, and as you said--he looked like a jet laboring to get up with the weight he carried. Just fascinating to me.
Judy, here's the link. Though I've only had one comment, people have called and emailed me that they thought it was incredible, as well. Here's the link and I'll put it on Escapee as well. Hope you enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/embed/nA3LtXnNIto?feature=player_embedded
Me, too, Sandie! I thought when he was hanging on with one talon that he would surely lose it, and was amazed when he "casually" looked to his left as if to say, "No problem." :)))
WOW that was fantastic. The camera work was incredible. To see it from both the air and under the water. What great photography. We have seen ospreys dive and come up with fish many times while here in florida but never from that close. Amazing! GREAT POST!!!
Maybe it is my connection but the link for the video didn't show on your blog. Have others commented about this

WOW!! I found myself cheering for the bird as he struggled to get that huge fish up into the air.
