For those of you interested Only in TRAVEL, I (Jack) wrote the blog between MARCH 2010 and October 2010 during our travels west. We saw the most beautiful places and had the best time in our big truck and little trailer. See Blog Archive below.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Well, I fooled myself. I didn't think I'd be blogging quite this soon, but stuff happens. Good stuff! My soon-to-be Grandson asked for Amanda's hand in marriage, but he made her work for it! He sent her all over on a scavenger hunt, and she got a piece of jewelry at each destination (where he had incognito photographers waiting) until he popped the big one! HOW ROMANTIC IS THAT? It was a whirlwind of a day, that's for sure!

I don't know how to move the pictures around so I'll ask her when I see her to put them in order for me. Maybe you can figure it out--I think I have! It's a bit of a scavenger hunt in itself. Can you find "the moment" she said yes? Wish I could have been a fly on the wall. Aren't they a beautiful couple?

    1. Thanks, Sandie. I'm so happy for them. Jim free of pain, now? Has he gone fishing? I know he hunts with...hmmm...brain cramp...Sittlez or Scooter. Either way--give them pats and hugs for me.

  3. What a fairy tale proposal. She is a gorgeous girl. Not sure I've ever seen a picture of her before. He is a very creative and loving man obviously. I hope they are as happy every moment of their lives together as they are in these fabulous pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

  5. That was a very creative way to ask a very important question that they'll both remember for the rest of their lives.

    It's about time.

    1. I think it was creative, too! Just as her sister, Missy and her husband (not a year yet) they are made for each other.

    1. It is a beautiful ring. He picked it out and this was the first time she had seen it, so it seems that he has all around good taste, Janis!

Anxious to see whether you wind up in the same area as some people who read my blog.

    1. Thank goodness the dress I wore to Missy's wedding is too small now! Uh oh, that means I'll have to spend more time in the mall. I guess I may have to fly back east depending upon when the wedding takes place! Love to Paul and the pup!
