For those of you interested Only in TRAVEL, I (Jack) wrote the blog between MARCH 2010 and October 2010 during our travels west. We saw the most beautiful places and had the best time in our big truck and little trailer. See Blog Archive below.

Terror in Canada

My thoughts and heart go out to our neighbors to the north during this terrible time. I hope to hear that they catch the terrorists (cowards) before they can do more harm.

  1. Yes, killing a soldier guarding a war memorial. Can't get much lower than that. Scum.

  2. I haven't heard the news today so I'm waiting for the news to start in a few minutes. It was so wonderful to spend a little time with you and Jack. You are as special as I knew you would be.

  3. The news always seems to be so depressing. What is the matter with this world? It's good to see you back in the comments section! Give Jack a hug for me.

  4. This tragic event hit pretty close to home for our family as our youngest daughter lives and works for the federal government in Ottawa. In fact, she gets the bus to work right in front of the Tomb for the Unknown Soldier and was there waiting for her bus only an hour before the attack.

She's fine but pretty shaken up as their offices were on lockdown all day.

I'm confident the authorities will get to the bottom of this and arrest anyone who participated in the planning or carrying out of this attack.

  5. So happy your daughter is safe, Rick. Reminiscent of another sad day - 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. Thank goodness for heroes like sergeant-at-arms Kevin Vickers. We live in scary times.
