For those of you interested Only in TRAVEL, I (Jack) wrote the blog between MARCH 2010 and October 2010 during our travels west. We saw the most beautiful places and had the best time in our big truck and little trailer. See Blog Archive below.

The Day Has Come

For various reasons; mainly health, my travels in the truck and trailer are over. It's for sale. Hoping to have a buyer soon. Sad day.

Maybe now I'll get around to reading blogs again and traveling vicariously through others. To all who have read, thank you. I've made some wonderful cyber friends, and I hold them dear. You are always welcome to my home if you are in the Atlanta area.

Wishing everyone safe travels, good health, and happiness.

  2. This is truly a sad day. Just when I thought we'd be meeting you out on the road somewhere. Hopefully you will continue to keep us informed of your undertakings. Maybe someday.

  3. This breaks my heart but I totally understand. Jim and I were talking about how much longer we think we can travel. I know the time is coming when we will leave the little trailer in Montana and just drive back and forth. We also bought a new trailer for here in AZ. I'm going to try and get a blog post done about it but I haven't gotten any good pictures yet. We are spending most of our time here now. I've established my doctors down here so I don't have to worry about getting to Billings for doctor appts. At this point we are planning one more trip back east and we're hoping to do it next year. I'll let you know as time goes on.

  5. I'm sorry to read this but I sure know you know whats best for you. I hope you get a good price for your rig and truck. I don't even know if I will be getting out anymore either. Since I have not be able to find an affordable conversion van. The truck camper is just to hard to deal with and way to small to spend lots of time in. Please don't be a stranger I sure did enjoy our blogger friendship. Take care

  6. Thank you, everyone for your comments. I have had only one call on the trailer. A couple is coming up from South Georgia next weekend. If they don't show and summer turns to fall...well, it isn't over until the fat lady sings. Never know. I may be able to have a new procedure...nothing guaranteed, but I'll try anything. Surgery will not work. I have not been on my computer since this post...just can't bring myself to write. Hope you are all well and happy. Let's see if iPhone puts this thru.
